This is the video I posted about the attack by Republican Senators, primarily Senator Mike Lee from Utah, on our federal public lands. I’m the last person who likes to go on social media and make videos expressing my opinions on things, but this situation is too much to take sitting down. Here is was we posted on the National Deer association social media accounts:
Our public lands are still at risk! The latest bill draft from D.C. cuts back proposed sales, but it’s not enough. This isn’t how decisions about our wild places should be made. Our public lands are not for sale and are not bargaining chips.

While the majority of my outdoors excursions have been on private land or state-owned land, I very much cherish the time I spent backpacking into the Little Missouri National Grasslands in western North Dakota to hunt mule deer with my bow. I’ve also hunted and shot two nice black bears in the Idaho Panhandle National Forest.
The bottom line is a lot of people, and wildlife, depend on our federal lands for hunting, fishing, and other forms of recreation. If it’s sold, it’s gone forever. The sad thing is, proceeds wouldn’t even put a dent in the national budget deficit. This is obviously about something more, and Senator Mike Lee is behind it.
I’ll write more on this topic as the situation unfolds.
